Kit Connor, a 20-year-old actor, is best known for his role as Nick Nelson in the TV adaptation of Alice Oseman’s hit graphic novel Netflix series Hearstopper.

Connor said he would like to “do something completely different” in future roles. He said, “I’d like to take a little break just so that I can cleanse my mind and my palate. I want to try and spend the next couple years just doing quite hard stuff so I can try and force myself to get better.”
He said to a Hollywood Reporter that he has tried to be more “ballsy” with his career decisions following the success of Heartstopper.

Connor’s performance in Heartstopper has been widely praised, and he earned the inaugural Children’s and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Performance.
Currently, Connor focuses on diversifying his career and starring in a Broadway adaptation of Romeo + Juliet alongside Rachel Zegler and aims to take on more challenging roles in the coming years.
He said, “It’s been what I’ve been trying to do with my career decisions recently; just try and do things that are a little more ballsy.”
