As the fragile ceasefire happened between Israel and Iran on Wednesday, Donald Trump stated they will now move forward with the nuclear deal negotiations with Iran. Despite the US President, Donald Trump’s warning to both countries regarding fresh attacks, explosions have been heard in Tehran.
Israel claimed those were intercepted drones likely discharged from Iran.
On Tuesday, Donald Trump appealed to Israel to halt its bombing campaign against Iran. He also warned that any further action would be considered a major violation of the fragile ceasefire deal he announced a few hours earlier.
Before this incident, the US President told reporters he believed both Israel and Iran would have violated the terms of the ceasefire deal. He said, “I think they both violated it”. He declared while leaving the White House for the NATO summit in The Hague.
The fragile ceasefire took place following a tense night in which Iran launched missiles at a US air base in Qatar.
According to Israeli reports, Trump held a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, just hours following the ceasefire that was declared on Tuesday. During the conversation, the Israeli Prime Minister reportedly told Trump that he could not cancel the attack, and it was needed because Iran had violated the truce. The report also said that Israel’s response will be restricted; they were targeting only one site despite multiple locations.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said that their final missile barrage on Israel was launched just minutes before the truce happened. In a report, they said that 14 missiles were launched against military centres in Israel. They also added that the Iranian armed forces would continue to supervise enemy movements with open and vigilant eyes.
The US President Donald Trump has expressed that he was unhappy with Israel and expressed his frustration over the exchange of attacks between the two countries.
As per a media report, the Israeli Prime Minister said that Israel will act with the same determination if Iran further tries to construct its nuclear programme.
President Trump said that the US and Iran will hold a meeting in the following week; however, they do not require signing an agreement. He denied the reports that the US’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities failed to complete the task.
Donald Trump unleashed on journalists who published the news of an initial intelligence report regarding the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The President said that the report was not complete. He added that the Defence Intelligence Agency found that the damage from the US attacks might be very severe. The president also complained that the new reports ignored that point in their content.
