UFC’s Bryce Mitchell Faces Backslash for Controversial Hitler Comments

1 Mins read

UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell has recently come under fire for controversial comments regarding Adolf Hitler. This leads to a significant backlash from fans and officials alike.

UFC president Dana White described Mitchell’s remarks as “beyond disgusting,” emphasizing that such statements are unacceptable within the sport.

White said, “We reached out to Bryce immediately when we read what he said and let him know exactly how we felt about it.

“But what he said was beyond disgusting, and he needs a real education on the facts surrounding Hitler and World War Two.”

White also added, “Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the earth and anyone that even tries to take an opposing position is a moron.

That’s the problem with the internet and social media. You provide a platform to a lot of dumb and ignorant people.”

The backlash was swift, with many fans expressing their disappointment and anger over the fighter’s statements Critics argue that such rhetoric has no place in sports or society.

In response to the controversy, Mitchell has not issued a formal apology, further fueling public outrage. Many in the MMA community call for accountability, urging the UFC to take a stand against hate speech.

White’s condemnation highlights the organization’s commitment to maintaining a respectful environment for athletes and fans.

Mitchell, who competes in the UFC featherweight division, has built a reputation as a skilled fighter with notable victories, including his recent win against Kron Gracia at UFC 310.

Despite his achievements inside the octagon, this incident threatens to overshadow his athletic career.

Ariel Helwani, a Canadian American combat sports journalist, said on X: “Every day MMA finds a way to reach a new low. A new way of embarrassing itself and those who are fans of it.”

He added, “Nothing will be done, and I don’t care if anything is done. Say what you want. It just continues to baffle me at how unbelievably stupid—not to mention bigoted—some of the people in the sport or associated with the sport can be.”

As the situation develops, how the UFC will address Mitchell’s comments remains to be seen and whether any disciplinary actions will be taken. The organization has previously dealt with controversies involving its fighters and has emphasized its commitment to inclusivity and respect.
