Greece’s authorities are looking for a 59-year-old lady who disappeared while she and her husband were at a beach.
According to a translated missing persons report published by the local charity Lifeline Hellas, Michele Bourda was last seen at noon local time on Friday, August 1, on the beach of Ofryni in the Northern Greek city of Kavala. As concerns for Mrs. Bourda’s life rise, her family quickly raised the alarm, but authorities have not been able to locate her.
As per the article, the British national vanished from the beach “where she had gone swimming with her husband.” She is five feet six inches tall, slender, with straight blond shoulder-length hair and hazel eyes.
“On the day she disappeared, she was wearing a two-piece swimsuit with rhinestones, yellow beach shoes and red, bone-rimmed sunglasses,” Lifeline Hellas added.
On Saturday, August 2, the group initially sent out a warning for Bourda. According to Sky News, Bourda resides in the Macedonian city of Serres with her Greek-born spouse.
According to the U.K. publication The Standard, the 59-year-old is thought to have disappeared from the beach while her husband was dozing off on a sunbed. As per the reports, when she vanished, her possessions were abandoned on the beach.
