Becky Lynch Eyes Revenge on AJ Lee in WWE Women’s IC Title Clash at WrestleMania 42

1 Mins read

AJ Lee shocked fans by dethroning Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s International Championship at Elimination Chamber. The win came after a brutal battle in Chicago. Lee forced Lynch to tap out with her Black Widow submission hold.

This sets up a huge rematch at WrestleMania 42 next month. UK wrestling fans can catch the action live from the US on WWE Network or streaming services. The event promises high stakes as Lynch demands her title back.

Their rivalry started last autumn. Lee returned to WWE after over a decade away. She first beat Lynch in a mixed tag with CM Punk against Lynch and Seth Rollins at WrestlePalooza.

Lee then submitted Lynch again in a WarGames match at Survivor Series 2025. Fans in the UK loved the drama as these stars traded intense promos on Raw. Lynch called Lee a “Divas era relic,” but Lee fired back with sharp words.

At Elimination Chamber, chaos ruled. Lynch used a steel chair after knocking out the ref. But Lee turned it around and won the gold for the first time in 11 years.

Lynch bounced back with fire. On the March 16 Raw, Lee defended against Bayley and won. Post-match, Lynch attacked her badly. The next week, Lee challenged Lynch to a title rematch at WrestleMania 42.

UK viewers know WrestleMania as the biggest show in wrestling. This women’s title bout joins a stacked card with up to six women’s matches—a record. Liv Morgan faces Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Title, too.

Why does this matter? Lynch built the Women’s IC Title into must-see TV during her record reign. Lee’s comeback adds nostalgia for old-school fans who recall her three Divas reigns.

Lynch wants payback after three straight losses to Lee. She vows to “Manhandle Slam” her way to victory. Lee, married to UK favourite CM Punk, promises more submissions.

The Street Fight stipulation is rumoured, raising the brutality. Expect chairs, tables, and pure hatred. British fans tuning in from London pubs or home screens will see women’s wrestling at its peak.

WWE teases big surprises. Lynch’s promo blamed fans for her brief hiatus. But she’s all in now. Lee interrupted her latest Raw rant to seal the deal.

WrestleMania 42 hits in late April. UK times mean early mornings, but true fans won’t miss it. This feud proves WWE’s women’s division leads the way.
