Broncos vs Saints: Broncos Defeat Saints 33-10 in Payton’s New Orleans Return

1 Mins read

On Thursday, October 17th, Sean Payton faced a big loss in the football match. The New Orleans Saints did not give Drew Brees to celebrate much in the football match at the Caesars Superdome.

The Broncos had a vitorious win with a score of 33-10.

As Drew Brees came in the halftime into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame, the game became more depressing. It shows clearly how far Payton and Brees are from the days of their glory, they lost five consecutive games.

The Saints lost in a Blowout with their former coach Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are at their worst point and many players were not in the game due to injury, including quarterback Derek Carr and top receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed.

Even Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler did his best but fifth-round draft pick for a reason. Rattle struggled to complete 10 of 25 passes for 98 yards and was sacked six times before being replaced by Jake Heaner.

He managed to score a late touchdown but that was too late to stand against Broncos.

The Saints have struggled a lot the entire game to move the ball or sustain all night in the football match. At the end of the first half, saints called to timeout with four seconds left and they took a knee to run out the rest of the clock.

They haven’t lost back-to-home games by 20 or more points till 2001 according to NFL researcher Tony Holzman- Escareno. They only lost two games by more than 20 points in 15 years Payton era.

While the Broncos play well enough to win this game. Bo Nix contribute 134 passing yards and 41 rushing yards for the first time. Javonte Williams led the offense effort in the game and they heavily relied on their running.

This match was notable for Sean Payton’s comeback to New Orleans where he used to give coaching to Saints for a significant success. His current team Broncos improved by a 4-4 record with this win while the Saints fell to 2-5.

Overall, the complete game shows the ongoing struggles for the Saints, the absence of many players in the game for their injuries and offensive execution, making the make worse.

This game undoubtedly leaves a bad impression on fans as they reflect on their team’s decline since Payton’s departure.
