Pistons vs Lakers: Lakers Disappoint NBA Fans with Loss to Pistons on Monday Night

On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Detroit Pistons in Michigan, USA. 

The Los Angeles Lakers continued their five-game road swing, Pistons vs Lakers. 

Following the Los Angeles Lakers 115-103 loss to the struggling Pistons on Monday night, fans were disappointed to see LeBron James. The team dropped a game after a strong 3-0 season start.

The Los Angeles Lakers fell to 4-3 on the season, while the Pistons improved to 3-5. Before the victory, the Pistons were 0-3 at home.

However, they recovered with a strong performance against the Lakers. Meanwhile, the Pistons learned a more concerted attack to win the game. They scored 67-53 in the first half.

Pistons vs Lakers

LeBron James finished the game with 20 points, including eight rebounds and eleven assists while shooting 7 out of 16 in the loss. Anthony Davis blew up with 37 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists. 

Lakers fans became disappointed with the 39-year-old’s performance because he finished the night with a plus-minus of -16. Many fans reacted to the disappointing loss. 

On the other hand, Cade Cunningham finished the game with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Jaden Ivey contributed with 26 points.

The Pistons came out fast and scored a 15-7 lead after five minutes. Los Angeles pushed the pace to open the game but the hosts succeded with run-and-gun style. 

The LA Lakers put on a dazzling show on defence in the third quarter. Anthony Davis anchoring the middle, the visitors limited the Pistons to 16 points in the period.

LA faced an 83-77 deficit entering the final frame after dragging by 18 points.  

After losing three of the last four games, Los Angeles is under some pressure after their impressive start under first-year head coach JJ Redick.
