Pakistan vs Australia, 1st ODI Live Score, Australia opts to bowl against Pakistan

Australia and Pakistan will play the first one-day international of a three-match series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Monday.

The match toss is scheduled to take place at 8:30 am IST. The match is set to start at 9:00 am IST.

The players of Pakistan are Mohammad Rizwan (c) (wk), Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Salman Ali Agha (vc), Muhammad Irfan Khan, Kamran Ghulam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, and Naseen Shah.

The players of Australia are Pat Cummins (c), Jake Fraser-McGurk, Steve Smith,  Matt Short, Josh Inglish (wk), Aaron Hardie, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Sean Abbott, Mitchell Starc, and Adam Zampa.

A new era in Pakistan cricket is set to begin as Mohammad Rizwan will make his captaincy debut in ODI cricket.

Pakistan had not played an ODI match since the 2023 World Cup and they are returning to a 50-over format with a new captain. 

Rizwan will have his task cut out because the men will host the Champions Trophy early in 2025. Shahid Afridi also returning to the team and will lead the pace attack.

He was appointed as the captain of T20I early in 2024 and removed just after one series.
