Two of the NFL’s most famous franchises faced off on Sunday Night Football. The Dallas Cowboys had to travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers. Pittsburgh is 3-1, thanks to a strong play from quarterback Justin Fields.
Dallas stays at 2-2 with a good offence but an unimaginative defence, a huge change from the recent seasons.

Entering Sunday Night, no one will mistake either team for a Super Bowl contender at this point. The Dallas Cowboys had to have one of the NFL’s worst defensive units entering the matchup.
Moreover, the Cowboys will face a Steelers team that has difficulty moving the ball on offence despite Justin Field’s somewhat surprising start.
Though there are plenty of seasons left to change courses, however, it might be a challenging battle. The Cowboys will be on the ground without Micah Parsons, who is dealing with an ankle injury.
The Pittsburgh Steelers boasting a strong 3-1 record, are prime to take advantage of Sunday Night Football. The Steelers are determined to protect their turf, where the Steelers have already outscored opponents by 22 points.
Dallas’s biggest weakness lies in their run defence, having capitulated 282 more rushing yards than they have gained in 2024. The Steelers only produced 3.7 yards per rush, and have exceeded their opponents on the ground by 41.8 yards per game.

This match is a delayed gratification. After a weather delay, and various struggles to close drives with points, the Dallas Cowboys come out on top to improve to 3-2. Pittsburgh Steelers falls to 3-2, with consecutive losses after a 3-0 start.
Prescott finishes with 352 yards, with two interceptions, two touchdowns, and a fumble.
The Cowboys were 0 for 3 in the red zone entering their final drive in Pittsburgh. When it finally mattered most, they scored. Facing a win-or-lose fourth down play, Prescott found Jalen Tolbart for a four-yard touchdown pass with 20 seconds left to take a 20-17 lead.
Facing second-and-goal, Dallas gave the ball to running back Rico Dowdle, who had lost control over the ball. However, the Cowboys were incredibly lucky that the ball was recovered by Dak Prescott.
Finally, the Steelers take a Dallas turnover and convert it into points. The Dallas Cowboys have escaped Pittsburgh with a 20-17 win over the Steelers.
