You Season 5 Ending: Penn Badgley Describes the Last Chapter of Jor Goldberg’s You Season 5

2 Mins read

Fans of Netflix’s You were interested in whether serial killer Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) would ever be apprehended from the first episode. You Season 5 concludes with a single episode, presenting a wild and dramatic take on a man’s purported search for true love while demonstrating his actual evil nature with each action.

Joe and Louise are together in “Trial of the Furies,”! episode 9 of You season 5, and Joe feels “truly loved”.

Joe accuses Harrison of killing Raegan by hiding her teeth in his backpack. He then has Maddie arrested for conspiracy to murder, framing her as well. Kate wants Joe to admit to planting the teeth, so she cancels the hitman she hired to kill Joe.

Joe plans to murder Kate, but she outwits him and sends a decoy that mimics her appearance.

Nadia informs Joe that he destroyed all of her aspirations, including being a published author, during a serious conversation between Kate and Louise in the flat.

The appearance of Marienne Bellamy (Tati Gabrielle) is then one of the most significant turns in You season 5.

Joe tried to reassure her that he had changed, but he was horrified because she had passed away. Given that Joe imprisoned Marienne in a cage after You season 4 and ensured her suffering, this scenario is expertly written.

The action-packed last act of You season 5, episode 9, flows naturally into the You series finale. Joe shoots Kate after breaking out of prison.

Maddie outs Joe in the basement and sets Mooney’s bookshop on fire, which would be startling enough.

Despite her unexpected situation, Kate gets up and knocks Joe unconscious, giving her optimism that she will defeat him. Louise apologised and left Dom a message.

She claims that Marienne is still alive and acknowledges that she allowed herself to be sucked in by a con artist and serial killer. Then, Kate tells Joe that she knows he placed the cage’s key in his arm, which is a disgusting but unforgettable realisation.

Jor claims to have tainted Love. In a brilliant moment, Kate admits she taped Joe and praises him for the confession. The cops will receive the recording from Nadia.

Perhaps the craziest scene from You season 5 occurs when she leads him outside: Joe asks Louise to marry him. To defeat him, she answers “yes”. During a thrilling time, Louise considers:

I’m the only person in the world who can stop you. Turns out, you’re not the hero of our story. I am. And you’ll never see me coming.”

You season 5 is now streaming on Netflix.
